Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Version 1.2, effective 17 October 2026. This page explains what data is processed when you visit this informational website, including by the advertising and hosting services it uses. We do not sell personal data. This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies; see Cookies and Google AdSense.
1. Scope & Purpose
This policy describes how Article 370 Knowledge Base (article370.com, "the Site"), an independent educational project, handles technical information, advertising cookies and user communications. The Site has no user accounts, sign-up forms, comments or payments, and does not ask visitors to submit personal data.
2. Data Collected
2.1 Automatic Technical Data (Hosting)
- The Site is a static website hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the Site against abuse, Cloudflare processes request data such as IP address, browser user agent, requested page, referring URL and timestamps, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- The Site's maintainer does not run separate server logs. The hosting dashboard may show the maintainer aggregated traffic statistics (for example, request counts by country), which are not used to identify individual visitors.
2.2 Analytics
The Site does not use Google Analytics or any other separate analytics script. Only the aggregated statistics provided by the hosting provider (see 2.1) are viewed. If an analytics tool is added in future, this policy will be updated first.
2.3 Advertising Data
Pages that display advertisements load Google AdSense code. Google and its partners may collect and use information such as cookie identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you visit, to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud. See section 6.1.
2.4 Voluntary Communications
If you email the Site maintainer, your email address, name (if given) and the message contents are used only to respond to you, and are then archived or deleted when no longer needed.
4. Legal Basis (If Applicable)
Where data protection laws such as the EU or UK GDPR apply, processing needed to deliver and secure the Site is based on legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable informational site. Responding to your emails is based on your request. Personalised advertising cookies require consent under those laws; see section 4.1.
4.1 Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Google's policies require that visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland be asked for consent before cookies are used for personalised advertising. Whatever your location, you can refuse or withdraw permission for personalised advertising at any time by:
- turning off ad personalisation in Google Ads Settings;
- opting out of participating third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info;
- blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Google's own responsibilities as a recipient of data from this Site are described on Google's Business Data Responsibility site.
5. Data Retention
- Hosting request data: retained by Cloudflare according to its own policy; the maintainer holds no separate server logs.
- Advertising data: retained by Google according to Google's advertising policies.
- User communications: retained only as long as necessary to respond, then reviewed for deletion.
6. Third-Party Services
6.1 Google AdSense
This Site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet. Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also serve ads through AdSense.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.
For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy & Terms – Advertising.
6.2 Hosting and Email Protection (Cloudflare)
The Site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request data to serve content and protect against abuse, and may route traffic through servers in several countries. Cloudflare's email-address protection feature loads a small script that decodes email addresses shown on the Site, to reduce spam harvesting. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
7. Security Measures
- HTTPS enforced for transport encryption.
- Least data principle: no user accounts, forms or first-party tracking identifiers.
- Security headers applied by the hosting configuration.
8. User Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. For data held by the Site maintainer (in practice, emails you have sent), submit a request via the contact below. For advertising data, use the Google controls in section 6.1; for hosting data, see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
8.1 Visitors in India (DPDP Act, 2023)
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 (notified on 13 November 2025) govern the processing of digital personal data in India. Most obligations under the Rules take effect from 13 May 2027 (SCC Online summary).
- What the Site maintainer processes: only the personal data in emails you choose to send, used solely to reply.
- Third parties: Google (advertising) and Cloudflare (hosting) process data as described above under their own privacy policies.
- Your choices: you may ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and withdraw any consent you have given. If you are not satisfied with our response to a grievance, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Contact for questions and grievances: see section 11.
8.2 Children
The Site is a general-audience educational resource. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children and does not ask visitors to submit personal data.
9. International Transfers
Cloudflare and Google operate infrastructure in many countries, so request and advertising data may be processed outside your country of residence under those providers' own safeguards.
